Subaru brings the Uncharted into 2027 unchanged — and more affordable than many rivals
Subaru has rolled its Uncharted into the 2027 model year without altering prices, keeping its position as the brand’s most accessible electric vehicle. After a U.S. launch earlier in 2026, the compact electric crossover heads to dealers this fall with three trim levels, two powertrain choices and a clear focus on practical range and everyday usability.
Trim lineup and pricing
The lineup is straightforward: base Premium FWD, mid-level Sport, and top-spec GT. Manufacturer’s suggested retail prices remain:
- Premium FWD: $34,995
- Sport: $39,795
- GT: $43,795
These figures exclude the destination fee ($1,475, or $1,625 in Alaska). For shoppers hunting an affordable electric SUV, the Uncharted undercuts many mainstream rivals while offering a competitive feature set.
Standard equipment and safety tech
Even the entry-level Premium FWD is well equipped. Highlights include a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, USB-C ports front and rear, dual wireless phone chargers and 18-inch wheels with glossy black covers. Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist suite comes standard, packing emergency stop assist, blind-spot monitoring, front cross-traffic alert, lane departure alert, pre-collision braking and adaptive cruise control.
Sport and GT build on that foundation with features aimed at buyers who want more comfort and capability:

- GT moves to 20-inch gunmetal-finish wheels and brings a panoramic glass roof with motorized sunshade, ventilated front seats, a digital rearview mirror with HomeLink and heated rear outboard seats. Two-tone paint is exclusive to GT (all colors except Astro Black Mica).
Powertrain, battery and range
Under the skin the Uncharted keeps things simple to maximize efficiency and range. All versions use a 74.7 kWh battery pack with DC charging capability up to 150 kW.
- Premium FWD: A single front-mounted electric motor producing 221 hp (224 PS/165 kW). Subaru estimates a driving range of over 300 miles (about 483 km) for this model — a strong figure for the price point.
- Sport and GT: Dual-motor AWD setups producing a combined 338 hp (343 PS/252 kW). Estimated ranges are 273 miles (439 km) for the Sport and 287 miles (462 km) for the GT.
These numbers position the Uncharted as a practical daily driver for commuters and families who want long-range capability without stepping up to luxury pricing.
Design, colors and market positioning
The Uncharted presents Subaru’s familiar rugged-crossover styling in a compact EV package. Buyers can choose from five exterior colors: Astro Black Mica, Cosmic White Pearl, Habanero Orange Metallic, Coastal Wolf Gray Metallic and Metropolis Gray Metallic. The GT’s two-tone finish is an option on all colors except Astro Black.
Subaru is aiming the Uncharted squarely at buyers who need a no-nonsense, affordable electric SUV with solid range and a family-friendly feature list.
