Why Galaxy S25 FE Owners Are Getting One UI 9 Early

If you own a Galaxy S25 FE, an early One UI 9 invite might land on your phone sooner than you think. Tipster Tarun Vats says Samsung plans to include the S25 FE in the One UI 9.0 beta, which is built on Android 17. That’s a big deal for owners who want to try new features before the rest of the world.

Samsung’s FE line started as a way to bring flagship polish without flagship prices. Until recently, beta access was a perk most FE owners didn’t get. That began to change with One UI 8.5, when Samsung opened beta testing to several FE models — and now it looks like the experiment is expanding.

The initial beta footprint reportedly covers the UK, Korea and India. The United States is not on that short list yet, but industry watchers expect it could be added. Samsung has already created One UI 9 beta pages for the S25 series on its community forums, suggesting the company is preparing a wider roll-out ahead of mid-July.

Will older FE phones be pulled into this wave? It’s possible. Samsung included the S24 FE and S23 FE in past beta windows, so S25 FE participation may signal a broader policy shift toward giving mid-range flagship buyers earlier access to major software updates.
