Twin-Turbo E-Ray Convertible Hits 613 hp at the Wheels

Late Model Racecraft's Stage 1 twin-turbo kit pushed a 2025 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray Convertible 2LZ to 613 hp and 526 lb-ft at the rear wheels. This 2025 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray Convertible 2LZ recorded 613 hp and 526 lb-ft at the rear wheels after a Stage 1 twin-turbo conversion.

The conversion, carried out with a Late Model Racecraft Stage 1 Twin Turbo kit, is the defining change to this Hysteria Purple Metallic E-Ray. The modded car pairs the forced-induction work with ZR1- and Z06-inspired body pieces, creating a Corvette that looks more like a ZR1 and, on the dyno, closes much of the gap with Chevrolet's higher-performance variants.

Modifications and performance

Late Model Racecraft of Katy, Texas supplied the twin-turbo kit that makes the headline numbers; dyno figures cited are at the rear wheels. Before the swap this E-Ray put down 427 hp and 394 lb-ft at the rear wheels. After installation and tuning those figures rose to 613 hp and 526 lb-ft at the rear wheels. The car retains the E-Ray layout: an LT2 V8 with a 160-hp front electric motor that Chevrolet rates as a 655-horsepower, all-wheel-driven package in factory specification, and the 160-hp front motor allows roughly 4 to 5 miles of electric-only travel at up to 45 mph (72 kph) with the V8 shut off.

Exterior changes make the identity shift obvious. The car wears a Paragon Performance Z07-style front splitter, an AGMotorsports ZR1-style hood and tall rear wing, a Z06/Z07-style rear bumper cover and center-exit exhaust surround, LED grille-bezel light bars, wide-angle mirrors, an F1-style third brake light module and Euro-look smoked taillights. The suspension includes a front-axle lift system with memory settings and billet rear strut tower braces. Brake hardware was upgraded to Z06-spec orange Brembo calipers over carbon-ceramic discs.

Wheels, interior and provenance

Rolling stock is black-finished forged 20 inch front and 21 inch rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport All Season rubber sized 275/30 front and 345/25 rear. Inside, the seller fitted Jet Black leather GT2 bucket seats with heating and ventilation, orange seat belts, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Bose Performance Series system, a performance data recorder, wireless phone charging, a heated steering wheel and a head-up display.

The factory microfiber-wrapped steering wheel was swapped for a leather and carbon-trimmed wheel and several aftermarket carbon fiber trim pieces were added.

The 2025 E-Ray Convertible 2LZ was offered at auction but did not sell, the highest bid reaching $122,000.
