Roland Quandt reports that Nothing is developing two distinct pairs of smart glasses, one with a camera and one focused on audio. The report follows a week in which the company unveiled new Bluetooth speakers while its smartphone line has remained limited to three mid-range models this year: the Nothing Phone (4a), the Phone (4a) Pro and the Phone (4b).
According to Quandt, the camera-equipped version will include on-device features tied to ChatGPT, translation and other AI-driven functions. The simpler model is expected to be audio-first, with a microphone and speakers to handle music, audiobooks and voice assistant tasks much like a pair of open-ear headphones.
Both designs are said to use photochromic lenses that darken automatically outdoors. Nothing has not released images of either pair yet, though leaks are anticipated.

Where these glasses fit the Nothing lineup
Nothing’s reported audio glasses would sit alongside the company’s existing headphone range, including the Nothing Headphone (1) Pro and the regular Headphone (1). The camera-equipped variant will demand more complex hardware and integration, which raises a practical question for the company about priorities.
As an editorial point, some observers, including this writer, argue that Nothing might get more mileage by concentrating engineering and product resources on the next Phone, the Nothing Phone (5), rather than branching into camera glasses right now. That view is not a company statement; it is an assessment of relative technical and market challenges.
There are no official images or launch details yet, but Quandt’s report sets the expectation that fuller information and leaks will appear soon.
