Karma Automotive has replaced the Revero's turbo generator with a 6.2-liter V8 to create the one-off Eximius 1, a track-focused plug-in series hybrid rated at 1,195 horsepower.

Karma unveiled Eximius 1 on October 31 and premiered the car at the 2026 Concours at Wynn Las Vegas. It is the first vehicle built under Karma's Eximius bespoke program; the commissioning client is unnamed.

The swap retains the Revero's plug-in series-hybrid architecture but replaces the small generator engine with a 6.2-liter V8. Karma breaks the combined output down as 550 horsepower from the combustion engine and 645 horsepower from the battery pack, for a total of 1,195 horsepower.

Some outlets have cited a slightly different total near 1,212 horsepower, which suggests Karma's figures may still be in flux ahead of the car's planned 2027 delivery.

Marques McCammon, Karma's president and chief executive, said "The Eximius program effectively deletes the word 'no' from conversations about what's possible," and described the car as "the most powerful Plug-in Series Hybrid powertrain and vehicle ever developed."

Hardware to manage the power includes carbon-ceramic brakes with two-piece slotted rotors, Ohlins semi-active suspension, and a body widened by nearly two inches with wheel-arch extensions. Every exterior panel except the outer skin is pre-impregnated carbon fiber, and the car rides on 21-inch magnesium center-lock wheels in satin black.

Karma claims Eximius 1 reaches 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and has an estimated top speed above 200 mph. None of those figures are independently verified; Karma says the car is still in development with its buyer and will not reach the commissioning client until 2027.

The Eximius program sits above Karma's Studio personalization offering and allows one-of-one builds that can rework body, powertrain, and performance components in direct collaboration with Karma's design and engineering teams. "The Eximius program will allow Karma's customers to request modifications to the body, powertrain, and other performance components of the vehicle," the company said.

Karma's broader lineup continues to expand as the Gyesera Grand Coupe reaches dealerships in December. The company has already ended Revero production, making this one-off hybrid a pointed send-off for the model.

Karma has not said whether Eximius 1 will be independently tested before handover.
