Digital Chat Station on Weibo says Oppo has put the Find X10 Ultra project on hold. The report arrives after Oppo rolled the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max out globally, and after the Ultra had been expected to arrive in the first half of next year as the camera-focused top model.
No reason was given. Observers point to soaring memory prices and the cost of high-end camera modules, factors that would have pushed an already camera-centric phone to stratospheric retail levels.

What was expected
According to earlier leaks, the Ultra was set to feature a 200MP LOFIC main sensor, dual periscope telephoto cameras including one with 10x optical zoom, and an unusual square 100MP front-facing camera. Oppo was also said to be testing a Dimensity 9600 Pro variant alongside Snapdragon options, with Snapdragon still named as the likelier choice in most reports.
This would not be the only high-end "Ultra" model reportedly dropped this generation. Xiaomi's 18 Ultra has already been reported cancelled, and Digital Chat Station also implied the Xiaomi device would use the company's self-developed Xring O3 system on chip.
If the Find X10 Ultra is shelved, the Find X10 Pro Max will remain Oppo's most powerful flagship for now.
