Google expands its Pixel foldable lineup
At its latest hardware event, Google introduced the Pixel 10 Pro Fold alongside the Pixel 10 family, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a. The new foldable aims to refine what worked in the previous model by increasing battery capacity, enlarging the cover display, and upgrading core hardware for better performance and storage speeds.
Design and displays
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold features an 8-inch LTPO OLED interior display with a sharp 2076 x 2156 resolution and an impressive 3,000-nit peak brightness. The external cover screen grows to 6.4 inches (1080 x 2364) using LTPS OLED technology, offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and matches the 3,000-nit peak for excellent outdoor visibility and smoother animations.
Size, weight and build
When folded the device measures about 10.8 mm thick, while unfolded it thins to 5.2 mm and weighs 258 g. It’s IP68-rated for dust and water resistance and will be sold in Moonstone (grayish) and Jade (greenish).

Performance, memory and storage
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold runs on Google’s Tensor G5 SoC, complemented by the Titan M2 security chip for enhanced encryption and device protection. Memory is generous at 16 GB LPDDR5X, and storage options use UFS 4.0 at 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB—delivering faster app load times and better multitasking than previous generations.
Cameras and imaging
Imaging hardware includes a 48 MP primary sensor, a 10.5 MP ultrawide with a 127° field-of-view, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens that supports 5x optical zoom. Selfie cameras are integrated in both the main and cover displays; each is a 10 MP unit with an 87° field-of-view for video calls and vlogging.
Battery, charging and software
One major upgrade is a 5,015 mAh battery—an increase that delivers longer on-device time compared with its predecessor. Wired charging supports 30 W (0–50% in roughly 30 minutes), plus 15 W Qi2 wireless charging for convenient top-ups. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold ships with Android 16 and comes with an industry-leading seven years of major Android updates, security patches and Pixel Drops.

Connectivity and extras
The Fold includes stereo speakers, three microphones, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor built into the power button, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, UWB and dual-SIM support (one physical + one eSIM). These connectivity upgrades make the device future-ready for fast wireless networks and precise location/peer-to-peer use cases.
Comparisons, advantages and use cases
Compared to its predecessor the Pixel 10 Pro Fold gains a slightly larger cover display, an improved chipset (Tensor G5), faster UFS 4.0 storage tiers, and a higher-capacity battery that charges faster both wired and wirelessly. These improvements make the handset especially appealing for power users who need extended battery life, heavy multitasking, productivity on the go, and creators who benefit from the enhanced camera system and dual selfie cameras for flexible framing.
Market relevance and pricing
Google positions the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as a premium competitor in the foldable market, addressing consumers who want a refined Pixel experience in a versatile form factor. It will be available from October 9 with pricing starting at $1,799 (256 GB), $1,919 (512 GB) and $2,149 (1 TB). International pricing: CAD 2,399 / CAD 2,569 / CAD 2,869; €1,899 / €2,029 / €2,289; INR 1,72,999 for the base model. With its combination of display brightness, camera flexibility, and long-term software support, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is positioned to compete strongly against other flagship foldables.
