Xiaomi issues large recall for SU7 over assisted-driving fault
Xiaomi has announced a recall of 116,887 Standard Edition SU7 electric sedans after China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) flagged a safety issue in the vehicle’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). The affected cars were produced between 6 February 2024 and 30 August 2025. The root cause: the assisted-driving software can fail to correctly recognize, warn about, or respond to extreme navigation scenarios while Level 2 ADAS is active, creating a collision risk if a driver does not intervene in time.
