DJI unveils the Osmo Nano mini action camera
DJI has introduced the Osmo Nano, a pocket-sized wearable action camera built to be mounted almost anywhere. The Nano pairs a tiny camera module with a detachable Multifunctional Vision Dock that houses the display and extra electronics, creating a flexible setup for vloggers, athletes, and mobile creators.
Two-piece design and durability
The Osmo Nano follows a two-part concept: the compact camera module and a detachable dock. The camera body weighs just 52 g, while the dock adds 72 g. The module itself is waterproof down to 10 m, but the Vision Dock carries an IPX4 splash-resistance rating and is not rated for underwater use.
Sensor, video and photo capability
At the core is a new 1/1.3"-type CMOS sensor with a 6880 x 5160 resolution and approximately 13.5 stops of dynamic range, delivering richer shadow and highlight detail. The lens provides a 143° field of view and a minimum focus distance of 35 cm.
Video options are robust for such a compact camera: 4K up to 60 fps in standard capture and 120 fps for slow-motion clips. Footage can be recorded in 10-bit and using D-Log M for greater flexibility during color grading. DJI’s RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonBalancing electronic stabilization help keep footage smooth and level. Still images can reach up to 35 MP.
Storage, battery and charging
The camera module includes built-in storage and a battery. Buyers can choose 64 GB or 128 GB internal capacity, while the dock accepts microSD cards up to 1 TB for expanded storage. Power comes from a 520 mAh battery in the camera and a 1,300 mAh cell in the dock.

Standalone recording lasts up to 90 minutes at 1080p/24 fps. With the camera attached to the dock and the dock’s display turned off, runtime can extend to around 200 minutes. Note that the camera charges only when docked; DJI quotes roughly 20 minutes to reach 80% charge when connected to the dock’s PD-enabled USB-C.
Display and monitoring
The Vision Dock hosts a 1.96-inch OLED touchscreen with a 314 x 556 resolution and peak brightness of 800 nits. It serves as a live monitor while the camera is attached and can also function wirelessly as a remote display when the camera module is used separately.
Accessories and mounting options
Because of its small size, accessories are central to the Osmo Nano’s versatility. DJI offers a selection of magnetic mounting solutions and protective gear:
- Magnetic Hat Clip for mounting on cap brims
- Magnetic Lanyard for wearing around the neck or clipping to clothing
- Magnetic Headband to wear on the head
- Magnetic Chest Strap for torso-mounted shots
- Dual-Direction Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount for vehicle exterior or interior mounting
- Dual-Direction Foldable Adapter Mount to work with many existing action-camera accessories
- Protective Case
- ND Filter Set and Nano Glass Lens Cover

Price and availability
The Osmo Nano 64 GB kit is priced at €279 and includes the camera module, the Osmo Nano Multifunctional Vision Dock, Magnetic Hat Clip, Magnetic Lanyard, Protective Case, a USB-C to USB-C PD cable (USB 3.1), and the Dual-Direction Magnetic Ball-Joint Adapter Mount. The 128 GB kit is €309 with the same bundle. DJI says the Osmo Nano will not be available in the U.S. at launch.
Compact size, strong stabilization, and modular mounting make the Osmo Nano an appealing option for creators who need a tiny, wearable camera that still delivers 4K capture and professional-friendly features like 10-bit recording and D-Log M.
