Unofficial CGI teases a sharper, more upscale Rogue
Nissan North America is busy prepping a reshaped roster for the 2026 model year, from an all-new Leaf electric crossover to the affordable B19 Sentra compact sedan. While much of that activity is official, a recent unofficial CGI from the AutoYa YouTube channel imagines what a next-generation 2027 Nissan Rogue might look like — and the rendering blends cues from the Sentra and the Murano into a fresher, ritzy package.
Why this matters
Rogue has long been a core compact crossover for Nissan. With the company streamlining its sedan lineup and the Sentra potentially becoming the only passenger car after 2025, compact SUVs like the Rogue will carry even more strategic weight. Nissan also plans to add a PHEV variant (badged from an Alliance partner) around 2026, and sources suggest a full new generation could arrive for the 2027-2028 model years.

AutoYa’s digital designer took obvious inspiration from Nissan’s latest Sentra for the front end — stretched and scaled up to suit a crossover. Powertrain and market positioning
Nissan is expected to roll out a PHEV for the Rogue line in 2026. However, this plug-in hybrid is widely reported to be a badge-engineered version of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV — a fast way to add electrified range without developing a unique system. If Nissan follows that plan, a truly all-new Rogue with dedicated hardware could still wait until the 2027 or 2028 model year.
Positioned against compact crossover rivals, the next-gen Rogue will need to balance efficiency, technology and styling.
