Samsung has quietly ended security support for four midrange Galaxy phones released in 2021. If you own one of these models, it’s time to consider your options — from installing the latest available patch to shopping for a replacement.
Which Galaxy models are affected?
The South Korean company has officially stopped delivering security updates for these devices:
- Galaxy A03s
- Galaxy A52s
- Galaxy F42 5G
- Galaxy M32 5G
Why support ended and what it means
All four phones launched between August and September 2021. Samsung promised up to four years of security updates for these models, a commitment the company has honored through September 2025. Now that the update window has closed, these handsets will no longer receive security patches — leaving them increasingly exposed to software vulnerabilities over time.
In practical terms, end of security support means bugs and vulnerabilities discovered after this cutoff won’t be fixed. Apps may also become less reliable as developers shift focus to supported devices and newer Android versions.
