Haval has revealed the 2026 H6 Classic, a refreshed take on its best-selling SUV aimed at reinvigorating a model line that has delivered more than 4.5 million units since 2011. Targeted initially at the Chinese market, the new H6 blends familiar third-generation styling cues with upgraded technology and convenience features.

Interior tech and convenience upgrades

The cabin receives one of the headline changes: a 14.6-inch infotainment display powered by the Snapdragon 8155 chipset and Haval’s Coffee OS platform. The updated software supports more advanced voice commands, while an electrically actuated tailgate becomes standard equipment on this Classic edition—practical touches that matter for daily driving.

Powertrain, dimensions and driver assistance

Under the hood the 2026 H6 Classic keeps things straightforward: a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 181 hp, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and front-wheel drive. The compact SUV’s footprint measures 4,653 mm long, 1,886 mm wide and 1,730 mm tall, with a 2,738 mm wheelbase and a curb weight around 1,560 kg.

On the safety and assistance front, Haval fits Level 2 driver-assist systems. Notably, the package lacks a millimeter-wave radar but makes up for it with a 540-degree camera system to help with parking and maneuvering in tight spaces.

Market positioning and pricing outlook

Haval hasn’t announced pricing for the Classic yet. By comparison, current fourth-generation H6 models start at about 121,900 yuan (roughly $18,000) in China, and heavy competition in the local SUV market has already prompted dealers to offer sizable discounts.

The 2026 H6 Classic looks set to attract buyers who want the familiarity of the H6 silhouette coupled with modern infotainment, improved convenience and a competitive price point. Whether it will shift market share against new rivals depends on final trim choices and pricing strategy.
