Apple has quietly put refurbished MacBook Neo units on sale — and for bargain hunters it looks a lot like the pre-hike era. The entry-level model with 256GB storage and no Touch ID is now listed at $599 in Apple’s refurbished store, a price that matched the new unit before the recent price increase.

The 512GB configuration with Touch ID appears at $679, which undercuts the new-unit price before the bump by about $20. To compare, a brand-new 512GB MacBook Neo now carries a $799 tag after Apple’s adjustment. Small math, but it matters if you’re stretching a laptop budget.

What you get for those savings is more than a cosmetically cleaned machine.
