Design that reacts to touch and light. That’s the opening line for the new Infinix Hot 70 Pro, a handset that tries to make the back panel as interesting as the hardware inside.

Infinix leaned into spectacle with six finishes. Thermo Orange shifts tone with heat and cold. Mirage Green hides a starry, UV-reactive pattern that only reveals itself under black light. Silk Glow Purple glints with a nanocrystal texture that catches the eye. Depth Ring White adds a subtle 3D ring effect, while Night Pulse (black) and Dive Blue keep things restrained for anyone who prefers classic looks.

All variants weigh in at 205 grams. Thickness varies by finish, inching between 7.85mm and 7.95mm depending on the coating—tiny differences, but tactile ones.

On the front there’s a 6.76-inch 1080p IPS LCD. It supports an adaptive refresh range that spans low-power frames up to a brisk 144Hz, so animations can feel smooth without always draining the battery. Speaking of which, capacity depends on the market: you’ll find either a 5,600mAh or a beefy 6,000mAh cell, and the phone ships with a 45W charger in the box.

Camera hardware centers on a 50MP Sony IMX882 wide sensor (1/1.95"), complemented by an 8MP selfie camera. Not a flagship camera stack, but solid for a midrange device that aims for balance between price and performance.

Under the hood sits the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7100: an octa-core layout with four Cortex-A78 cores and four A75s, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X memory and 5G connectivity. It’s a chipset that favors efficiency and steady everyday performance rather than top-tier benchmarks.

On durability the Hot 70 Pro is IP68 rated—good for submersion up to 2 meters for 30 minutes—and it carries a MIL-STD-810 mention, although Infinix hasn’t spelled out which tests were performed.

Two hardware touches stand out. First, a dedicated Folax-powered AI button sits on the right edge, acting as a one-press gateway to assistant features and shortcuts. Second, Infinix tucked an Active Matrix Cube LED display into the rear camera island, a small panel that lives around the third lens and can show notifications or animated accents.

Software ships with Android 16 layered by XOS 16, and Infinix promises three major OS upgrades plus five years of security patches.

Pricing and regional availability haven’t been confirmed yet, so the real test will be how those finishes and features stack up against rivals at launch. Which finish would you choose?
