Honor X7e Plus Debuts with 8,100mAh Battery and SD4 Gen4

If battery life were a sport, Honor just threw down a gauntlet. The new X7e Plus arrives with an enormous 8,100mAh cell, a modest screen and a surprisingly modern chipset, targeting users who value endurance over flashy specs.

At 6.87 inches the display is big, but the panel is a TFT LCD and the resolution sits at 720p. That might sound old school, and in a world obsessed with pixels it is a clear tradeoff. Lower resolution helps the phone eke out longer runtime. Simple math, but it matters when you need two days or more between charges.

Charge speeds remain capped at 45W. Not the fastest on the market, but enough to get the massive battery moving. Honor has also hardened the chassis. The X7e Plus now carries IP69K ingress protection, which defends against high temperature pressure jets, and the brand claims 2.5 meter drop resistance. Practical upgrades for rougher use than the typical commute.

Under the hood sits Qualcomms Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, paired with either 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB storage. It is an efficient midrange package that balances power and power draw, which again plays into the device focus: all-day, then some.

Camera hardware is familiar. Honor kept the 50MP main sensor from the vanilla X7e and a 5MP front-facing module handles selfies. For photographers expecting radical leaps, that will be a disappointment. But for many, the camera is serviceable for social posts and casual snapping.

Software comes via MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16. Honor bundles an expanded AI toolkit, including AI Image to Video 2.0, AI Eraser, AI Recorder and Magic Portal. These features wish to blur the line between content creation and device, making editing and media tasks feel more automated and accessible.

For everyone else, the phone is a reminder that not every upgrade needs to chase raw numbers; sometimes the most meaningful improvements simply keep you powered through the day and then some.
