Bitmine expands Ether treasury and continues stock buybacks
Bitmine Immersion Technologies has increased its Ether (ETH) holdings while continuing an aggressive share repurchase program, reinforcing its position as an ETH treasury company. The firm reported another purchase of 10,399 ETH last week and announced a 4.5 million-share buyback as part of an ongoing $4 billion authorization.
Current holdings and target
As of the latest disclosure, Bitmine holds 5,797,813 ETH, valued at roughly $10.9 billion — about 4.8% of Ethereum’s 120.7 million circulating supply. The company is pursuing a target of owning 5% of the total ETH supply, continuing its crypto accumulation strategy to strengthen its ETH treasury and staking footprint.

Broader balance sheet and staking operations
Beyond Ether, Bitmine reported 209 Bitcoin (BTC), $173 million in cash and marketable securities, and equity stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings. The combined value of its crypto, cash, securities, and other investments totals approximately $11.3 billion. Previously the company disclosed that around 85% of its ETH holdings are staked through its validator operations, highlighting a focus on generating staking rewards and supporting network security.
Share buybacks and capital strategy
Since July 1, Bitmine has repurchased 16.1 million common shares under its $4 billion buyback program, including the 4.5 million shares bought last week. The dual approach — increasing ETH exposure while reducing outstanding shares — signals a strategic allocation of capital aimed at maximizing shareholder value and crypto treasury growth.
