Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Beta: Eligible Devices and Rollout Dates

Curious whether your Xiaomi will be first in line for the next big software refresh? Xiaomi just laid out HyperOS 4 beta plans for China, and it’s being rolled out in three distinct waves. Short version: some flagships and a handful of tablets get the earliest access; others follow in late August and mid-September.

The initial wave kicks off on August 14. If you own one of Xiaomi’s current top-tier handsets, you might get an invite straight away. The first batch brings both flagship phones and tablet models into testing.

• Smartphones: Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17, Redmi K90 Pro Max, Redmi K90 Pro Max Champion Edition, Redmi K90
• Tablets: Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 8

Less than two weeks later, on August 27, Xiaomi expands the pool to include more high-end and performance-focused models. Expect several more Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 15 series devices, plus a Redmi Pad update.

Last wave arrives on September 17. It’s a broader sweep, bringing a mix of Redmi K-series phones and the foldable Mix Flip 2 into the beta ecosystem, along with a couple of new Pad 7 tablet variants.

All of the above applies to users in China. Global timelines remain unannounced for now, though it’s reasonable to expect an international beta program after Xiaomi finishes the domestic rollouts. The company has been moving faster with HyperOS updates, but regional certification and carrier approvals often slow global deployment.

Eligible users in China can apply through the Beta Testing Center in the Xiaomi Community app. Open the app, find the Beta Testing section, and submit your application to see if your device qualifies.
