Unofficial Sketch Envisions ICE-Powered 2028 Porsche Cayenne

Yeon Jun Park, a Changan exterior designer based in Turin who also produces virtual concept art, released unofficial sketches imagining the next-generation E4 Porsche Cayenne with internal-combustion power rather than electric drive.

The images are presented as hypothetical ideation sketches and are not a confirmed Porsche design or production plan.

Porsche has yet to reveal the next-generation 718 Boxster and Cayman electric models, and a new variation of the E3 Cayenne remains pending.

Recent Porsche activity includes a limited Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur 911 GT3 Bergsport edition offered this month in four Alpine European countries.

Spy photographers have also captured what was identified as a 2028 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT with the Weissach Package running laps at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with limited camouflage.

Industry reports note that the Macan is sold exclusively as a battery-electric vehicle and that some observers question its market performance. Rumors circulating in trade coverage have suggested slow Taycan sales and ongoing debate over Porsche's BEV and ICE lineup strategy.

The sketches draw clear visual links to the E4 Cayenne, adopting the model's new headlight style and prominent vertical front air intakes. In the concept, those intakes are integrated with the headlight assembly and shown as functional openings rather than decorative elements featured on the current E4 Cayenne Electric prototypes.

The front fascia in the sketches also includes a large central intake reminiscent of the refreshed E3 Cayenne, with smaller horizontal air inlets in the bumper that create a double surround element across the grille area.

The profile shows a clean shoulder line, Y-spoke alloy wheels, large rear doors, a sloping roof and a coupe-SUV rearward rake.

The rear design continues the vertical intake motif, adds LED taillights and a bumper treatment that visually references the E4 Cayenne Electric. No exhaust outlets are visible in the images; they may be hidden below the bumper or integrated into the horizontal slats depicted in the lower valance.
