The Ineos Grenadier Helmsman is a new marine-inspired special edition for the 2027 model year, combining oceanic exterior tones and bespoke equipment. It is the first in a planned series of element-themed custom editions and goes on sale now in the UK.
Edition concept, availability and pricing
Ineos describes the Helmsman as the initial member of a collection of Grenadier variants each built around a different natural element. The Helmsman draws on maritime and sailing motifs and will be offered both as a station wagon and as the double-cab Quartermaster pickup. U.K. orders have opened with a listed starting price of £70,995; Ineos has not announced U.S. pricing or a U.S. launch schedule.

Exterior specification and equipment
The Helmsman blends features used previously on limited-run models with newly developed elements. The most distinctive change is a deep ocean blue paint first created for Ineos’ Arcane Works special-unit models. The package also applies a darker exterior treatment that gives the Grenadier a distinctive appearance.
- Black grille and exclusive Helmsman badging
- Underbody protection plates and matte-black roof rails
- 17-inch machined alloy wheels and locking wheel bolts
- Tinted glass and a rear access step and open load-bed options

Interior, packs and options
Inside, the Helmsman features heated leather seats, pearlescent-colour upholstery and thick carpeted mats layered over washable rubber flooring. The edition comes standard with Ineos’ Smooth equipment pack, which includes ambient interior lighting, front parking sensors and auxiliary power outlets.

Standard paint choices are Aldert Blue and Scottish White, with a Whiteout Blue metallic finish offered as a bespoke option. Customers can combine those colours with a contrasting roof in either black or white.

Ineos’ global sales director said the marine styling was chosen because the vehicle is well suited to towing boats and transporting watersports equipment. The company intends to produce the Helmsman only for a limited period before replacing it with a subsequent element-inspired edition. The Grenadier was introduced in 2022 as Ineos’ first model and expanded in 2023 with the Quartermaster pickup; these bespoke editions are aimed at attracting adventure-minded buyers and follow a broader industry trend toward limited-run specialty models.
