Virtual Mazda Sedan Borrows Alfa Cuorerosso Design

A Modena-based digital designer has reimagined Alfa Romeo's Cuorerosso concept as an unofficial Mazda sedan, preserving the concept's electrified 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6, B-pillarless coach doors and most structural features while swapping brand-specific styling.

A virtual Mazda sedan rendering adopts the Cuorerosso concept's proposed electrified 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 and Q4 all-wheel-drive architecture, repackaged with Mazda styling in an unofficial CGI project.

The render comes from Luca Serafini, a virtual automotive designer based in Modena, Italy who posts as lsdesignsrl on social platforms. Serafini has effectively reworked Alfa Romeo's Cuorerosso concept into a coach-door Mazda sedan, keeping the Italian concept's structural and mechanical cues while swapping in a Mazda front fascia and subtle rear changes.

The Cuorerosso was one of six headline concepts Stellantis previewed ahead of press day for the 2026 Paris Motor Show, scheduled for October 12 to 18 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Stellantis had announced in September that it would present more than 60 show vehicles and nine concept cars, and it showcased six major concepts in a pre-show event: the Citroen 2CV Concept, the DS F3VER, the Fiat Multiplay, the Opel STX, the Peugeot RCZ Vision and the Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso.

Alfa Romeo's Cuorerosso stands out for more than aesthetics. The concept uses a shifting red finish and employs a B-pillarless layout with coach rear doors, a treatment reminiscent of the Genesis GV90 Neolun. Alfa also positioned the Cuorerosso as a preview of an electrified evolution of its 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 used in Quadrifoglio models, paired with the Q4 all-wheel-drive system and a lightweight carbon fiber driveshaft. Stellantis characterizes the Cuorerosso as a design statement that will probably never become a series production model, unlike several of the other concepts shown.

From Cuorerosso to a Mazda body

Serafini's pixel study substitutes Mazda's signature grille and face for the Cuorerosso's scudetto, adjusts the LED headlight geometry to suit Mazda proportions and leaves the coach-door silhouette largely intact. At the rear the changes are minimal: the Mazda script replaces Alfa Romeo badging and a single, smaller exhaust tip replaces the dual outlets on the Italian concept. The render is explicitly unofficial and digital; Serafini does not indicate any connection to Mazda or Stellantis.

The Cuorerosso concept also prompted speculation about where such a design would sit in the market. If produced as shown, Stellantis acknowledged, it would sit in a rarefied segment alongside vehicles such as the Mercedes AMG GT four door, the Ferrari Luce and the newly announced Jaguar Type 01, offering a hybridized alternative among ultra-luxury high performance sedans—an outcome Stellantis has not committed to pursuing.

Serafini's reimagining underscores how a single concept can be repurposed in digital studios to explore different brand identities. Observers have also noted practical questions raised by the hybrid V6 package: while Mazda has its own strong powertrain lineup, some commentators suggested Alfa's electrified V6 would be a compelling fit for the streamlined coach-door form, particularly if the hybrid system were developed to deliver more than 700 combined horsepower, a figure discussed speculatively by enthusiasts rather than claimed by the manufacturers.

The render and Serafini's portfolio are visible under the handle lsdesignsrl. The image is a creative exercise rather than an indication of any production plan from Mazda or Alfa Romeo, but it highlights how Stellantis' Cuorerosso concept has already influenced designers and the wider automotive conversation.
