A new all-black CGI of Toyota's Century grand tourer coupe has surfaced, presenting the high-riding concept in a production-ready guise. The virtual artist Nikita Chuicko, better known on social media as 'kelsonik', dressed the coupe in deep black and retained most of the prototype's design cues while adding deeply concave black alloy wheels in the process.

The image is notable not because Toyota confirmed a production model, but because it places the Century coupe squarely alongside established luxury grand tourers. The original Century nameplate was reintroduced as a standalone brand at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show, and the concept's silhouette suggested competition with the Bentley Continental GT and the Rolls-Royce Spectre.

Century began life as Japan's most formal limousine, debuting as a sedan in 1967 and long serving domestic government and business elites. The nameplate evolved slowly for decades, then in 2023 it expanded to include an SUV sibling, and the brand separation signalled Toyota's intention to push Century to the top of its portfolio.

Toyota's broader strategy remains wide-ranging. Gazoo Racing has been floated for renewed independence and a GR GT hybrid V8 sports car is in development, while the automaker's earlier ambitions for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have yet to materialize.

Chuicko's renderings take that corporate backdrop and imagine a market-ready Century coupe. The digital build keeps the concept's long-hood, coupe proportions and restrained chrome, but presents them in monochrome for a tougher, more production-oriented appearance. The artist stages the car alongside a real Continental GT and the concept car, underlining the visual rivalry.

The render presents a production-ready, all-black take on the Century grand tourer while keeping the concept's core design cues.

It is important to note these images are speculative. Toyota has not released a production timeline for a Century coupe, and prior public moves for the Century brand have focused on the SUV and premium positioning rather than a confirmed two-door model.

Most recently, in October 2026 Toyota signalled efforts to make Century a global asset: the plug-in hybrid V6-powered Century SUV expanded into China and into select markets across Asia and the Middle East in very small volumes.
