Cadillac F1 Team is reportedly being offered for sale with an asking price of $3 billion, according to three people familiar with the process and reporting by Sportico. The potential transaction comes amid federal scrutiny of transactions linked to Mark Walter's TWG Global and a recent wave of sports-asset disposals.

Sale report and buyer interest
Sportico reports the $3 billion asking price and says at least seven parties have expressed interest. The report attributes the asking price to three people familiar with the process. No sale agreement has been announced and timing for any transaction was not specified by those sources.

Ownership structure and finances
TWG Global is the controlling owner of the Cadillac F1 Team, but the full ownership breakdown remains unclear, with General Motors and its Cadillac division still involved. TWG and GM together paid a $450 million entry fee and invested an additional $1 billion in the team, which multiple sources say is on track to lose roughly $400 million this year.

- August: Walter sold his controlling stake in the Los Angeles Lakers at a reported $12.5 billion valuation for the franchise.
- September: He sold a 12.8 percent stake in Chelsea Football Club.
- The Los Angeles Sparks have been reported as available for around $700 million.
- The Los Angeles Dodgers remain out of the sale discussions; the team won World Series titles in 2024 and 2025.

On-track performance and valuation context
Cadillac is in its maiden Formula 1 season and has yet to score a championship point. The team has retained Sergio Perez under a contract extension through 2029, at minimum. The grid average valuation for the 10 F1 teams was reported at $3.42 billion a year ago; by that metric a $3 billion asking price would place Cadillac above teams such as Williams, Alpine, Racing Bulls, Kick Sauber and Haas, roughly on par with Aston Martin, while Ferrari remained valued north of $6 billion.
