Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 8 update (based on Android 16) to two budget-friendly Galaxy A phones: the Galaxy A06 4G and Galaxy A07 4G. The update brings the company’s latest One UI features to entry-level devices, with a download size of roughly 2.3GB.
What the update includes
The stable One UI 8 release is available now with the following firmware builds:
- Galaxy A06 4G: firmware A065FXXU7CYJ8 (Android 16, stable One UI 8)
- Galaxy A07 4G: firmware A075FXXU1BYJA (Android 16, stable One UI 8)
Both updates require an approximate 2.3GB download. Users should back up important data and ensure enough battery life or connect to a charger before installing.
Rollout regions and security patch notes
Samsung has initially pushed the update to several Southeast Asian markets: the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. The company typically expands regional rollouts gradually, so more countries should see the update in the coming days or weeks.
One important detail: the Galaxy A06 4G build ships with the September 2025 Android security patch, while the Galaxy A07 4G comes with the October 2025 patch. That means security patch levels differ between the two devices for this release.

How to check for the update now
If you own a Galaxy A06 4G or A07 4G in one of the countries listed and haven’t received the notification yet, you can check manually:
- Open Settings > Software update
- Tap Download and install (or Check for updates)
Rollouts are typically staged, so availability may vary by carrier and region. If the update isn’t available immediately, check again after a few hours or days.
Why it matters
Bringing One UI 8 to A-series phones keeps Samsung’s budget lineup aligned with newer features and Android 16 optimizations. For many users, updates like this improve performance, privacy controls and system polish without needing to upgrade hardware. It’s a reminder that even affordable phones can get meaningful software support.
