Photos of batteries for the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra have appeared in South Korea's Safety Korea database, showing model numbers EB-BS957CBY and EB-BS958DBY. The markings align the cells with the S27 Pro's and S27 Ultra's SM-S957 and SM-S958 model numbers, and both batteries are marked as manufactured by Zhuhai CosMX Power in China. The capacity figures in the Safety Korea images are not legible.
Certification and capacity details
The battery model numbers match previous leaks and regulatory filings. Capacities for the two S27 models were first leaked in July and were later recorded by China's 3C certification in September. The S27 Ultra's battery carries a rated capacity of 5,534 mAh, which the leaks and certification indicate would translate into a typical capacity of about 5,700 mAh. The S27 Pro's cell is listed with a rated capacity of 5,087 mAh, likely a 5,200 mAh typical figure.

If those typical numbers hold, the S27 Ultra would offer 700 mAh, or about 14 percent, more than the S26 Ultra's 5,000 mAh, while the S27 Pro would exceed the S26 Ultra by roughly 200 mAh, or 4 percent. Reports say Samsung evaluated a 7,000 mAh prototype before choosing a smaller cell to preserve the S Pen slot.
Charging and launch timing
Both S27 batteries were also certified for 60W wired charging, matching the Galaxy S26 Ultra's wired charging specification. The exact launch date for the S27 series remains unclear, though a recent report suggests Samsung may return to its traditional January or February release window.
