Kia Australia has introduced the second-generation SP3 Seltos in hybrid-only form, bringing the brand's new e-AWD system to Australia and listing drive-away prices from AU $39,990 to AU $55,490.
Australian launch, trims and pricing
The 2027 Seltos arrives in Australia in S, Sport, Sport+ and GT-Line grades, offered with front-wheel drive or an AWD option on the GT-Line. Kia Australia confirmed the local lineup and drive-away pricing in early October 2026 after earlier product additions in 2026 that included the PV7 PBV in September and the EV3 GT-Line AWD in July.

Hybrid powertrain and e-AWD system
All Australian Seltos models use a new-generation 1.6-litre Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) powertrain paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and are built on Kia's K3 platform. Front-wheel-drive versions are rated at a combined 112 kW and 265 Nm, or 150 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The GT-Line can be specified with an e-AWD configuration that adds a dedicated rear electric motor, which operates independently from the front assembly and sends power directly to the rear wheels. That AWD system is rated at 126 kW or 169 hp. Kia describes the AWD option as "marking a first for Kia Australia's hybrid model portfolio."

The Seltos also features Smart Regenerative Braking 3, which is selectable via a steering-wheel paddle shifter, together with revised suspension geometry and steering calibration intended to complement the hybrid and AWD systems.
Interior, cargo and equipment
Kia says the SP3 Seltos increases passenger space and cargo capacity compared with the previous generation. Boot volume measures 483 litres (VDA) with seats in place and expands to 1,441 litres (VDA) with the 60:40 split-folding rear seat folded.

Wheel options are limited to 16-inch for the base model, with 18- or 19-inch designs on higher grades. Exterior colour choices are offered as follows; all colours carry an AU $600 option charge except Clear White:
- Clear White
- Snow White Pearl
- Steel Grey
- Interstellar Grey
- Aurora Black Pearl
- Denim Blue
- Tan Beige

Kia Connect is standard across the range. Wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as standard equipment. The GT-Line adds premium features such as artificial leather-appointed seats with front ventilation, driver memory, a Head-Up Display and a Harman/Kardon premium audio system.
